Changes to E2 Visa Regulations for Those Looking to Teach in Korea

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to make a post regarding the new E2 Visa regulations laid out by the Korean government for people looking to go to Korea to teach English. Unfortunately, the rules have already been changed a few times, so it is not yet 100% clear on what will be needed. This is what we know so far:

On July 15th, the Korean government said on their website they will not accept original diplomas but only Apostilled copies or notarized copies approved by the Korean Consulate.

On July 20th, the Korean government said on their website that BOTH the original diploma AND the Apostilled or notarized copies approved by the Korean Consulate would be accepted.

Are you as confused as we are? Stay tuned…
