"Korea in general is very clean and safe. Many things like public transport are cheaper and more efficient than in North America. I especially enjoy the balance of city life and outdoor activities - the hiking trails and parks are excellent. There are also enough western style stores and restaurants like McDonalds, 7-11, Pizza Hut, etc. for it not to be overwhelming in the cities."

"So far all of the Korean people I have interacted with and met have been very nice, including all the teachers and staff at the school, clerks in stores and taxi drivers. Meeting people in restaurants and bars is very easy too and many people are happy to meet foreigners. "It has taken me about 2 months to really settle in, which is very normal from what I have read about culture shock.
