Places to Visit in Cheonan

It is a beautiful complex of Buddhist temples that you can explore. Also, there are multiple hiking trails around the area that offer great views of the temple. Cheonan’s Postal Museum is another interesting historical site. It might not immediately sound fun, but it’s actually a neat museum. It explores the entire history of Korea’s postal system, which dates back to 1884.
Cheonan also has fun theme parks. Tedin Water Park is a great spot on a hot (or cold) day. The park is open all year round. During winter, the water is heated. So it’s always the perfect temperature. The park has slides, rides and various other water activities. Although it is geared as a family spot, it is actually fun no matter your age!
Food in Cheonan
If you have spent any time at all in Korea, you will have undoubtedly come across Korean walnut cakes. Walnut cakes are puffy walnut cookies that are stuffed with red bean paste and walnuts. The Korean term for them is Hodu Gwaja. Korean walnut cakes (a.k.a. walnut cookies) are found all around Korea at bus stops, street vendors, and so on. Regardless, eating Hodu Gwaja in Cheonan is special because this is where they originate! There are countless stores specializing in Korean walnut cakes near the main Cheonan station. Sample several different stores because the walnut cookies aren’t too big. The taste isn’t for everyone but trying one is an obligatory Korean experience!
Korean food is incredibly delicious. Nevertheless, sometimes it is nice to eat other kinds of food. Not all cities have lots of international food, but Cheonan does! In fact, Cheonan has many international restaurants. Mount Fishtail is a particularly delicious one. It is a traditional Indian and Nepali restaurant.
